Readers’ Forum: Modi explains Integral Humanism

Every second and every breath of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at the United Nations General Assembly ( UNGA ) on September 27, 2014, when he was addressing the world body, was an outstanding explanation of the doctrine of ‘ Integral Humanism’ propounded by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya. From Individual to Globe to Nature, NaMo touched all practical and philosophical aspects of development, peace and progress. His wonderful speech does suggest that he is a statesman, a global leader, and destined to be a mentor of UN. All that has made the world, especially our misguided neighbour, introspect. Let us hope that our world will be free from terrorism.

Adding values to bio-gas residues

(Organiser,17.8.2014); This refers to the article ‘Adding values to bio-gas residues’ by Prasad S Joshi in Organiser The article was quite informative and an eye opener for the rural development. There is no doubt that bio-gas is eco-friendly, safe and economical. But what is ailing the prospects of bio-gas in India is that as on date it has not been made a commercial commodity. This is discouraging rural folks in taking up this enterprise or else this can prove to be a humble livelihood in rural India. It is a pity that our country has the technology of compressing and transporting bio-gas like gobar-gas , which is evolved from cow –dung, the same is not being made a commercial commodity, perhaps in fear that it may spoil the interest of our country politicians, who are having a booty in it , irrespective of any political party, ruling or non-ruling. We hence appeal to the NDA -2 government to fulfill this accomplishment, which either Cong-1 or UPA government could not do it from decades. By this obviously we can also accomplish cow protection since farmers will stop selling their cow and bulls to the butchers.

Polarising Secularism Vs Unifying Hindutva

(Organiser, 24.8.2014);This refers to the editorial ‘ Polarising Secularism Vs Unifying Hindutva’ in Organiser. The views of RSS chief Shri Mohan Bhagwat that all Hindustanis are Hindus are in fact very liberal, as he has accommodated Indian Muslims also. But the Muslim leaders, their mullahs and maulavis, apart from secular brigade which believes in vote-bank politics, have serious objection to it .They condemn liberal views as aggressive communalism and are asking for clarification from the BJP leaders. In such a situation, I am of the firm opinion that we need not consider these Muslims as Indians. They are in fact Pakistanis living in India, all due to treachery by Gandhi , Nehru and the Congress leaders. The best thing would be to make India a constitutionally a Hindu and non- Muslim country, as Muslims opted for creation of Pakistan as their exclusive homeland and have expelled practically all the Hindus and non – Muslims from Pakistan and Bangladesh. Let all the Muslims go to their homelands and the remaining Hindus and non- Muslims from Pakistan and Bangladesh be treated as Indian, as soon as they take refugee in India. Let us hope Shri Modi would be able to do this.

Aam aadmi has awakened

I think what the recent election results have proved is that the common Indian voter i.e. the aam aadmi has now evolved and has more sense than many so-called liberals. They are no longer willing to be taken for a ride in the name of secularism, a slogan designed to keep Congress in power with the help of self-serving parties like SP and BSP. The nation wants jobs, progress and development. BJP has given a resounding verdict against corruption. Hopefully the so-called liberals have got the message unless they want to be forced into extinction. Tokenism in the name of secularism will no longer work. But all of us , including those in BJP must realise that basic ethos of the country is truly secular.
