RSS Delhi Prachar Vibhag on August 30 organised a symposium on ‘Indian Education Policy and Social Media’in RSS Headquaters, Keshav Kunj, Delhi. The main speaker at the symposium was the national convener of the Shiksha Bachao Andolan Samiti Shri Dina Nath Batra and chief guest was Organiser editor Shri Prafulla Ketkar. At the first session, Shri Batra highlighted all aspects of education from ancient to modern education policy, while Shri Ketkar spoke on different dimensions of the education policy. In second session, both Shri Batra and Shri Ketkar, answered the questions from the participants. At the concluding session, Delhi Prant Prachar Pramukh Shri Rajiv Tuli stressed the need to prominently use social media for the important topic of education policy. —Bureau Report
Delhi unit of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad on September 3 strongly objected to a Lifestyle Exhibition named as ‘Alishan Pakistan’ scheduled in Delhi from September 11. In a letter to FICCI chairman, State secretary general VHP Shri Ram Krishna Srivastava said the sentiments of the citizens of Bharat would get hurt if they would allow promotion of any product of Pakistan, which continues to attack Bharat by various means since its inception.This exhibition would promote products of the country which is continuously attacking us directly and indirectly, he said. The FICCI in collaboration with Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) is holding this 2nd edition of ‘Lifestyle Pakistan’ exhibition in New Delhi. —Bureau Report
On August 31, a private bus carrying 78 devotees from Kolkata unexpectedly caught fire at Thirupullanai, near Ramanathapuram District, Tamil Nadu early morning at around 1 am. The devotees were moving towards Kanyakumari after having darshan of Lord Ramanathaswamy at Ramesh-waram. Five persons died on the spot and five were injured and hospitalised. On hearing the news, the swayamsevaks from Ramanathapuram district rushed to the spot. Shri Aadalarasan, Prant Karyavah, along with swayamsevaks coordinated the relief activity. -VSK, Chennai

During its Golden Jubilee Year, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad has decided to visit every Hindu’s house with the message of social harmony. It has also decided to expand the network of sewa activities. This was revealed by the VHP Delhi president Shri Rikhab Chand Jain at a function in Delhi on September 2. A swayamsevak of Delhi Shri Ish Kumar Chadha was honoured with Hindu Sewa Samman on this occasion. Local MP Shri Parvesh Verma was also present on the occasion. General secretary of Bhagini Nivedita Sewa Nyas Shri Mahavir Prasad Gupta assured the gathering that the Trust with the inspiration of the VHP will continue to serve the needy people.
