Manohar Lalji of Rashtriya Sikh Sangat is no more

Zonal organising secretary of Rashtriya Sikh Sangat, Manohar Lal passed away in New Delhi on July 22. He was 73. Born in 1940 in Pakistan, Manoharji was just seven year old when his family migrated to India after Partition. He held various responsibilities in the Sangh and became a Vanprasthi Pracharak in 1997. Prior to it, he held the responsibility of Vibhag Karyavah for about 30 years. He also held the responsibility of Hindu Manch and while looking after the work of Dharma Jagran Vibhag he focused on home coming. Hundreds of people returned to the roots of their ancestors due to his efforts.

Dr Suresh Vajpayee passes away

undefinedFormer Uttar Kshetra Sampark Pramukh of RSS Dr Suresh Vajpayee passed away in New Delhi on July 23. He was 79. He was unwell for five years.

Born on August 31, 1934 at Tiwaripur village near Kanpur, he was a swayamsevak since childhood. He had post graduate degrees in four subjects—Hindi, English, Sanskrit and Geography. He retired as Principal of Bhagat Singh College in 2000. He also held the responsibility of Delhi Prant Karyavah for about a decade.

Prominent those who paid tribute to the departed soul at Nigam Bodh Gahta crematorium on July 24 included Uttar Kshetra Sanghachalak Dr Bajranglal Gupt, Kshetra Karyavah Shri Sitaram Vyas, Sah Kshetra Pracharak Shri Prem Kumar, Prant Karyavah Shri Vijay Kumar, Prant Pracharak Shri Anil Kant, veteran BJP leader Shri LK Advani, BJP national general secretary (organisation) Shri Ramlal, Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Shri Arun Jaitley and leaders of many other organisations. A condolence meeting will be held in Delhi on August 3.

 


Western Maharashtra Prant Sanghachalak Dada Sahane is no more

undefinedPrant Sanghachalak of Western Maharashtra region Professor Kacheshvar Shankar Sahane, popularly known as Dada Sahane, passed away on July 25. He was born on June 15, 1942 at Sangamner under Ahmed-nagar district of Maharashtra. Because of loss of parents in childhood, he had to complete his education in hardship. He did his Masters and M.Phil in History and was professor and Head of the Department in New Arts Science Commerce College, Nagar. Besides that he was known as a progressive and innovative farmer in the region. With the inspiration from the late Nana Dhobale, he was introduced to the RSS work and he devoted his full life to the same. Besides various responsibilities from Shahar Bouddhik Pramukh to Prant Sanghachalak, Dada was also associated with various organisation and projects, Valmiki Sewa Pratishthan, Rashtrahit Sanvardhak Mandal, Historical Museum and Vidya Pratishthan to name a few. As per his wishes, his eyes were donated after death. Many social dignitaries, people from teaching fraternity, farmers and swayamsevaks paid their last tributes to beloved Dada, who gave new heights to the RSS work in the Western Maharashtra Region.
