IP University deletes Hindu religion from admission form

Protesting VHP delegation attacked

Ahigh level delegation of Vishwa Hindu Parishad led by its State vice president Deepak Kumar was attacked by Guru Govind Singh IP University staff on March 17. In the clash the State chief of VHP’s women wing Smt Simmy Ahuja got injuries and Durga Vahini chief Smt Sanjana Chaudhary was misbehaved.

The VHP delegation had gone to meet the Vice Chancellor of the University against deletion of Hindus option from the column of ‘religion’ mentioned in the admission form being filed online for CET-2013. The VHP demanded immediate arrest of the attackers and also action against the VC for hurting Hindu sentiments and protecting the attackers. The VHP demanded immediate correction in the form and unconditional apology from the University for willfully neglecting the Hindus in the admission form.

The VHP’s 11 member delegation reached the University at 11.30 am. They were demanding immediate correction in the form and action against those who tried to put Hindus in the second citizen category. The delegation prominently comprised of State convener of Bajrang Dal Shiv Kumar, State convener of Durga Vahini Smt Sanjana Chaudhary, State convener of Matri Shakti Smt Simmy Ahuja, district secretary of VHP Kamlesh Shukla, State vice president of ABVP Santosh Upadhyaya and president of Hindu Sena Vishnu Gupta.
