FDI in retail grinds government to a halt (Organiser, 25.11.2012);

Everything has been looked into and planned perfectly. Not an inch of our motherland  is left out without the footfall of FDI. Like the camel that put its foot slowly and surely into its master’s tent and finally pushes him out, the poor farmer, the retailer in trade along with the aam aadmi —I hope Kejriwal will not object to my using his party name— will have to make way for the foreigner in every sector. Of course we are not surprised. History repeats itself. Moghuls, British, Italian lady and now FDI (does it not remind one of the East India Co.?). Now not just one but from all over the world they will have a say and a large chunk of our markets will be in their bags. Is this not an unfair deal? If only the Centre had woken up early, not dithered; if only corruption  had been nipped in the bud. How  many ‘ifs and buts’  can be tackled’ by our government? Allowing FDI without  caps and restrictions will only retard our growth and stifle small entrepreneurs. The ordinary Indian will have no inclination or incentive to push  himself to produce more. They will be just spectators allowing outsiders to perform. In the long run FDI will do more harm than good to Bharat.

VHP celebrates Deepavali with Pakistani refugees (Organiser,25.11.2011);

This refers to the article ‘VHP celebrates Deepavali with Pakistani refugees’ in Organiser. It has been stated, that the VHP has made an appeal “to the government of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh to protect Hindu interests in their respective countries, as the Muslims are protected here.” The fact is that India has not only protected Muslims, but has also given them more rights, than what the Hindus have. Now a stage has come, that even in India, Hindus need protection from the Muslims, who are creating riots and attacking Hindus on one pretext or the other. Muslims have also doubled their population since 1947, in India, and have expelled practically all the Hindus and Sikhs from their homelands of Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Therefore it carries no value to tell to the Muslims  of Pakistan and Bangladesh that we have protected Muslims in India. We must know that it is  a sin for a true Muslim to protect Hindus which they call kafirs and a pious deed to kill him. Dr BR Ambedkar, the first Law Minister in Nehru’s  government clearly states on page-83 of his book Pakistan or the Partition of India that “the Musalmans look upon the Hindus as kafirs,  who deserve more to be exterminated than protected. This is exactly what, the Islamic countries of Pakistan and Bangladesh have been doing since their creation in 1947, but we fail to understand them. The only solution is complete exchange of population as advised by Dr Ambedkar even before 1947, but nobody bothered to follow his advice. Rather he was castigated as supporter of Pakistan. It is high time that we understand the reality of Islam, and follow Dr Ambedkar.

In life and death, Thackeray proved a great crowd puller (Organiser, 19.12.2012); I was really touched  by Dr Jay Dubashi’s article on Balasaheb Thackeray in Organiser. There will not be any exaggeration if one says that about ten crore Maharastrians lost their beloved father following the demise of Balasaheb Thackeray. He was a man of versatile, staunch devotee of Shivaji Maharaj, brave solider, man of self-respect, excellent cartoonist, veteran journalist,  good statesman, very good organiser and a mass leader of Maharashtra. He was a man of straight forward nature and used to act in accordance with his  utterances. Although he trained many Shiv  Sainiks who today are holding important portfolios, but he himself never ran after power, nor he contested elections. If he had desired he could have easily become the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. He struggled hard against superstition in the Hindu society and tried upliftment of all the people irrespective of their   caste, sex or religion.

He  used to say that there is no majority and no minority in Bharat. All are citizens of Bharat. He emphasised on Uniform Civil Code, abrogation of Article 370 of the Indian Constitution and ban on cow slaughter. Balasaheb used to spellbound lacs and lacs of audience by his simple speech. His way of expression was entirely different form others. He  used to criticise his political rivals in strongest terms but it never became  an obstacle in his friendship with them. It is said that his funeral  procession was attended by around two   crore fans. What  it indicates? Of course it  is his popularity. He was the first person to receive State public funeral after Lokmanya Tilak. His demise is irreparable loss to the  nation in general  and to Maharashtra in particular.

Delhi government responsible for Sushrut Trauma Centre incident Reacting to the recent incident  in the Sushrut Trauma Centre  the leader of the Oppostion in Delhi Assembly Prof. Vijay Kumar Malhotra has righly said that it is the result of the failure of the Delhi government to perform its duties that such a major accident  has happened. Sushrut Trauma Centre is situated just two steps from the Delhi Assembly and Delhi government failed to ensure the maintenance of the centre under its nose. Seeing this it is quite apparent about the pathetic condition of other hospitals in the capital.

On one hand  the Delhi government is blowing its trumpet by organsing mock drills to meet any eventuality and on the other hand the incident in the Sushrut Trauma Centre has exposed the Delhi government’s in efficiency. I agree with Prof Malhotra that the Delhi government has become so insensitive that the maintenance and operation of the saving devices have been  handed  over to private firms instead of engaging its own government employees, and such incident has happened due to the ignorance of illiterate and untrained private employees.

But the Delhi government is turning a blind eye to the violation of rules and regulations of its own Health Dept. for which it is solely responsible  and should  not shirk its responsibility. Health Minister of Delhi should own the responsibility of the incident in the Sushrut Trauma Centre. He cannot escape the moral responsibility by merely instituting an enquiry into the matter.

Madrasas to get Rs 300.00 crore  from Central government This referes to the news item that Central Government is providing Rs 300.00 crore as assistance to madrasas. We strongly take objection to such a grants. The Muslim community should join the mainstream of the country and providing such an assistance to any religion community body will further encourage communalism. This will also show their divisive mentality. There is no doubt that UPA government is safeguarding its vote-bank. This clearly shows the ill-effects of secularism and democracy.

‘Ayodhya Structure’ demolition and nation building (Organiser, 16.12.2012); Muslim organisations, communists and  so-called secularists observe of Dececmber 6, as ‘Black Day’ in grief over the pulling down of disputed structure in Ayodhya in 1992. On evidence submitted by the Archeological Department, the Allahabad High Court has given its verdict that the remnants of a Hindu temple existed below over which the disputed structure was constructed.

It is therefore evident that a temple was destroyed and on its ruins a structure was constructed to commemorate the victory and rule of a foreign invader Babur who demonstrated his scant respect for India by having his body interred in the place of his birth outside India in Fergana province. Why then is the grief? It would not be out of place to recall that the Somnath Temple in Dwaraka in Saurashtra was looted and destroyed by Islamic invaders and rulers three times, but it was reconstructed as many times by Hindu rulers and finally during Aurangazeb’s rule the last temple was pulled down (1706 AD) and the place was converted into a mosque. Soon after Independence, the Government of India had the mosque removed and reconstructed the Somnath Temple a few kilometers away from its acutal site.

It was consecrated by the Rashtrapati Rajendra Prasad. The funds for this work were not from government coffers but from voluntary contributions made by the people of India.  Can’t Hindus expect from Muslims in India, generosity and respect for their faith so that Sri Ram mandir can be reconstructed just as Somnath Temple was, by funds from the people of India?
