Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) along with the students of several colleges organised a massive protest in Mangalore on August 3 demanding ban on the organisations like PFI, KFD and CFI which have been fostering hatred in the Karnataka with their communal and fundamentalist agendas.
The protesters organised a procession from Ambedkar Circle, Balmatta, to Deputy Commissioner’s Office, where they staged the protest. Addressing the gathering, ABVP state secretary Ramesh K said the organisations like PFI, KFD and CFI are implementing their agendas through colleges. They are the root cause of drug mafia, ‘love jihad’ and other problems plaguing the college campuses in the State, he said. Similar protests were staged at some other places.
