Vishwa Sangh Shiksha Varg begins in Trinidad & Tobago

VISHWA Sangh Shiksha Varg (second year) of Trinidad & Tobago began at Chinmay Ashram Kouva Trinidad on July 15. The 21-day Varg is the first Sangh Shiksha outside Bharat. A total of 58 people from 6 countries are participating in the Varga. The countries represented are USA, UK, Kenya and Caribbean countries of Suriname, Guyana and Trinidad.
The Varga was inaugurated by Swami Prakashanand of Chinmay Ashram in the presence of Swami Aksharananda of Guyana who is Sarvadhikari of the Varga, and Shri Arun Kankani, vice president of Sewa International, USA. Swami Prakashananda detailed the importance of service to humanity and appealed to the participants to remain alert during the Varg. The Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh Trinidad and Tobago Sanghachalak Shri Deoroop Timal and other office bearers were also present.
This is 6th Varga which takes place every three or four years for volunteers of the Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh who finish their three Sangh Shiksha Vargas of seven days in their respective countries. The Varg schedule includes physical training like Ashtang Yoga, Samata, Dand, niyuddha and bauddhik programmes of important topics on Hindu culture, challenges to youth, modern tools of communication, etc. Programmes from local cultural groups showing the efforts taken by ‘Jahaji’ Bharatiyas to preserve their culture are also planned.
Senior Sangh functionaries including RSS Sarkaryavah Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi, Sahsarkaryavah Shri Kannan, senior Pracharak Shri Bhagaiahji, Shri Saumitra Gokhale, Shri Ravi Kumar and Dr Ram Vaidya will also guide the participants.
