One day camp for new writers by Sahitya Bharati

Indraprastha Sahitya Bharati, a unit of Akhil Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad, organised a one day camp for new writers in Delhi on July 8. The whole day camp was divided into three sessions. First session was presided over by Dr Devendra Arya and editor of Sahitya Parikarma Shri Murarilal Gupt was the chief guest. The second session was presided over by Dr Malti Jain and Dr Kamal Kishore Goenka and Smt Mridula Sinha guided the writers. Former Union Minister Dr Subramanian Swamy was the chief guest at the third session. The topic for this session was “Freedom of expression in social media”. Organiser editor Dr R Balashankar and chairman of Sudarshan news channel Shri Suresh Chavanke were the chief speakers. In his speech, Dr Subramanian Swamy said since the mainstream media failed to discharge its responsibilities properly the social media had to take the responsibility of educating the people. Smt Tina Sharma of BJP and Shri Pravin Arya of Sahitya Parishad were also present. (FOC)
