“Any attempt to compromise on Kashmir and put the clock back to pre-1953 will invite a mass movement on the same pattern as was led by Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee in early fifties,” warns veteran BJP leader Shri LK Advani while speaking at 111th birth anniversary of Dr Mookerjee in New Delhi on July 9. The function was organised by Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee Research Foundation, a think tank of the BJP. Former High Commissioner to Pakistan Shri G Parthasarathy, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Tarun Vijay, trustee of the Foundation Shri Arun Singh and Delhi BJP president Shri Vijendra Gupta were also present on the occasion.

Shri Advani further said what the three interlocutors’ report has suggested, is against national interest, so much so that for the first time they have used the word Pakistan Administered Kashmir (PaK)  instead of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK), which is against Constitution and hurts the Indian position. He said this report should be completely rejected. On this occasion, Smt Manju Mookerji, was felicitated by BJP President Shri Nitin Gadkari and Shri LK Advani.
