14 people from 4 families return to Hindu fold in Mumbai

In an event organised by Vishwa Hindu Parishad in Mumbai on June 17, a total of 14 people from 4 families returned to Hindu fold. It included 8 Christians and 6 Muslims. Braving the heavy rains all of these people arrived at Wagheshwari Devi Temple to embrace the Vedic faith of their forefathers. All the people participated in the yajna and recited the Vedic shlokas. VHP zonal head Shri Anand Kumar Pande addressed the gathering while district secretary Shri Arvind Dubey presented photo of Lord Shiva and a copy of Sri Ramcharitmanas to all those who returned to their roots.       (FOC)


Jammu unit of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) organised a five-day Personality Development Camp at SR Public School. A total of 45 students from different institutions of the State paarticipated in the camp, which began on June 25. The camp was formally inaugurated by Shri Surinder Sharma, Director of JK Channel. He said the youth are definitely excelling in various fields but they lack in moral values. He appreciated the ABVP for conducting the activities for building moral character among youth. Dr Virender Koundal, State president was also present on the occasion. Shri Ajay Sharma, National Executive Council Member delivered the welcome speech.  (FOC)


Durga Vahini workers training camp in Bhadrachalam

A training camp for the workers of Poorva Andhra Durga Vahini was organised at Bhadrachalam in Khamam district from June 1 to 7. A total of 56 shiksharthis from 13 districts participated in the camp. Apart from physical training, the activists were also imparted intellectual, religious, spiritual and personality development training. Akhil Bharatiya Mahila Pramukh of the VHP Smt Meenakshi Peshwe, national vice president of Durga Vahini Smt Chandrakanta Devi and many other prominent VHP and Durga Vahini leaders were present in the camp.
