General body meeting of Grahak Panchayat?

The annual general body meeting of the Akhil Bharatiya Grahak Panchayat was organised in Pune from April 14-15. A total of 480 workers from 29 Prant participated in the meeting. The meeting was organised by former Union Minister Dr Subramanian Swamy. Dr Swamy said we cannot even get our rights without struggle. Shri Bhaiyuji Maharaj of Indore, senior Pracharak Shrikant Joshi, Shri Rajabhau Pophali, Shri Arun Deshpande and many other senior activists were also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Bhaiyuji Maharaj stressed the need not to look at the society on the basis of castes but on the basis of qualities. He appealed to the consumers to change their mindset and look at the quality of the products and not be trapped in the misleading publicity stunts. The new national executive of the Grahak Panchayat was also constituted at the meeting. Shri Arunao Deshpande was elected national president while Shri Somnath Khedkar will be the new general secretary. Shri Ravindra Salunke and Adv Narayanbhai Shah are the new vice presidents. Shri Ashok Trivedi is the secretary while Shri Dinkar Sabnis, Shri Santosh Godbole and Adv Durgaprasad Saini are the joint secretaries.   (FOC)?
