Second death anniversary of Nanaji

Workers conference at Chitrakoot on the second death anniversary of Nanaji

“Progress of a country is judged on the development of villages and not on the statistics of growth rate. Therefore, the development of villages should be our priority. Deendayal Research Institute (DRI) has practically shown how the sustainable rural development can be achieved,” said RSS Akhil Bharatiya Pracharak Pramukh Shri Madan Das. He was speaking at the concluding ceremony of a three-day workers conference organised on second death anniversary of Nanaji Deshmukh in Chitrakoot on February 27. The conference began on February 25. A total of 271 workers from 12 states, including 37 women workers, participated in the conference.

Shri Madan Das further said the youth who want to do something concrete for the society should always have student mentality and a vision for resolving the social problems as was done by Nanaji. “The DRI has shown miraculous results with even very limited resources, which even the highly powerful governments have failed to do. Nanaji used to say that I don’t worry if I cannot see, hear or walk. I am satisfied that all organs of my body have properly been utilised. He used to think for all,” Shri Madan Das added.

Madhya Pradesh BJP president Shri Prabhat Jha said the valueless politics can never make the future of the country bright. “If we wish to improve the political field we must first improve the social life and the DRI has set an example how to improve the social life. Though we cannot become the alternative of Nanaji, we can definitely follow his ideals,” he added.

Principal secretary of DRI, Dr Bharat Pathak said the work of DRI is based on the ideals of all round development that Nanaji wanted to spread in every district of the country. We have to develop the samples which are useful for the society and this work has to be created on the strength of people. President of DRI Shri Virendrajit Singh also spoke on the occasion. Organising secretary of DRI Shri Abhay Mahajan, Dr Mahesh Chandra Sharma, Akhil Bharatiya Gram Vikas Pramukh of RSS Dr Dinesh, Shri Prabhakar Kelkar of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh also addressed the gathering. Dr Nandita Pathak conducted the proceedings.
