Advani: Vyakti aur Vichar released in New Delhi

Advani: Vyakti aur Vichar released in New Delhi

BJP stalwart and former Deputy Prime Minister Shri LK Advani advised the party workers not to be arrogant when they get any post and fulfill the responsibilities given to them. He was speaking at a function organised at his residence in New Delhi on November 8 to celebrate his 84th birthday and also to release a book, Advani: Vyakti Aur Vichar. The book has been published by Bhopal-based Swadesh newspaper.

Shri Advani said he has been very lucky to get full support from his family and also from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). “I have been fortunate enough to be associated with the RSS for a long time. Family is the biggest institution where one learns and the RSS has been my family all through my life,” he said.  He also remembered his days with former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He said he was able to bear all the exertion of the Jan Chetna Yatra at such an advanced age as he had undergone rigorous training as a RSS worker. “Having conducted this yatra, I can say that I have never got so much support from the masses as I have for this yatra,” he said.

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Smt Sushma Swaraj, Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Shri Arun Jaitley, former national president of the party Shri Rajnath Singh, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Chhattishgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, Jharkhand Chief Minister Shri Arjun Munda and many other senior leaders were also present on the occasion.

As the senior leaders heaped praise on Shri Advani, he appeared emotional several times during the programme. He was seen wiping tears and even left the dais for a few minutes to regain his composure. Smt Sushma Swaraj spoke about the clean image of Advaniji, while Shri Arun Jaitley said whatever Advanji says he proves with logic. Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan described Advanji as a satvik karyakarta in politics. Dr Raman Singh said the personality of Advaniji inspires all. Shri Arjun Munda said the guidance and work capacity of Advaniji is unparallel in Indian politics. Shri Rajendra Sharma, editor of Swadesh, highlighted the details of the book. Shri Akshat Sharma, managing editor, proposed a vote of thanks. The proceedings were conducted by Panchjanya editor Shri Baldevbhai Sharma.
