THE Chief Judicial Magistrate Court in Allahabad on August 27 ordered registration of a case against Congress leader Digvijay Singh for his statement in Ujjain on July 18 calling RSS a bomb making factory. Singh had said that the RSS was spreading terrorism in the country and it has been making bombs. The suit was filed in the local court by the RSS volunteer Sunil Kumar Singh. The Congress general secretary had earlier courted controversy when he said that he did not rule out the involvement of Sangh in Mumbai serial blasts. While the RSS had slammed him, the Congress had washed its hands off the comments.
Meanwhile, a senior RSS leader from Maharashtra and national convenor of Samajaik Samarasata Manch Shri Dada Idate served a legal notice to Digvijay Singh recently. Ratnagiri based criminal lawyer Advocate Pradip Parulekar served the notice to Digvijay Singh for his repeated objectionable and defamatory comments against the RSS and other Hindu organisations. Since the Congress party never distanced itself from the comments of Digvijay Singh, it has also been made a party in the case. If Digvijay Singh does not apologise for his comments, both Digvijay Singh and Congress president will have to face the criminal case.
