A week long eye camp was organised by the Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram in association with the Health and Family Welfare Department of Chhattisgarh Government at District Hospital of Jashpur Nagar. The camp, organised from December 15 to 20, was inaugurated by Kalyan Ashram president Shri Jagdevram Oraon and CMO Dr BB Borde.
Speaking on the occasion Shri Jagdevram Oraon said still the health facilities are not available in remote areas and the government agencies as well as the social organisations must accept this challenge. Kalyan Ashram joint general secretary Shri Kripa Prasad Singh pointed out that the Kalyan Ashram organises such camps all over the country and more than 24,67,337 patients were treated free of cost last year. He said 6,067 cataract patients were operated last year. Dr Borde and Smt Rajni Pradhan, chairperson of Municipality, also spoke on the occasion. (FOC)
