THE 56th National Conference of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) will be organised in Bengaluru from December 25 to 28. About 10,000 students along with teachers, educationists from Kashmir to Kanyakumari will participate in the conference. The venue of the conference has been named after Sir M Vishveshwaraiah and the dais has been named after Shri Nanaji Deshmukh.
The conference will be inaugurated at 11am on December 26. The conference poster was released by the ABVP national general secretary Shri Vishnudutt Sharma and national secretary Shri N Ravikumar in Bengaluru recently. A photo exhibition depicting different programmes, agitations, rallies, movements conducted all over the country will be inaugurated on December 25 at the conference venue. The exhibition venue has been named after Pt. Madan Mohan Malaviya.
Thousands of students from various national institutions like IITs, IIMs, and from various courses like management, engineering, medical, paramedical, fine arts, journalism and MSW, etc will participate in the conference. Two separate sessions will be arranged for 2,000 girl students participating in the conference.
This year’s Prof. Yashwantrao Kelkar Youth Award will be presented on December 28 to Shri Anandkumar of Patna, Bihar, who has been helping the poor students deprived of education, food, shelter by providing them the same free of cost. He is known as ‘Super 30’ and has been an idol for the youth of our country. (FOC)
