A meeting of the Bharat Vikas Parishad office bearers was held in Haridwar recently. Addressing the workers, chief guest Swami Brahmadev emphasised that the purpose of life is to make it meaningful by facing the problems bravely. “Bharat means consciousness which is sown in our foundation, but alas! What is the outcome, nothing. Therefore, we are to evolve a system to awaken our consciousness to achieve harmony, bliss, knowledge, happiness etc,” he said. He also referred to his new project where water and mud from different countries would be brought in Haridwar on December 12, 2012 to give a concrete shape to the World Temple.
The two-day meeting was conducted into seven sessions. Various subjects viz expansion, workshops, organisational achievements, targets, youth participation, budget, corpus fund, seminars, publication, etc. were taken up by the respective project incharge. Discussion was also held over the person or organisation to be honoured for rural development.
In the concluding session, the participants were apprised of the help rendered to the flood victims of Leh by the Bharat Vikas Parishad. A press conference was also organised in Rishikesh which was addressed by the Bharat Vikas Parishad president Shri RP Sharma.
