CHILDREN’S relationship with their father has many facets. From a doting father to seemingly indifferent, to school master-ish. And, when we are small we do not always understand their ways, and sometimes think that other dads are better than your own.

The stories bring out these and many other complicated, amusing and lovable relationships between fathers and children. The book is a compilation of short interesting stories written in a clear, simple language which appeals to children.

There is a story about a father who dies but lives through his son in his habits and mannerisms; then there is a story about two small girls who have lost their mother and are brought up by their loving father; then about a father who has a successful career, loves his wife and daughter but is given to taking alcohol; and also a father who is disappointed in his job and decides to give it up and start life afresh.

And, there is a story of how Father’s Day began.
The stories touch a chord somewhere inside us, because all of us have gone through similar situations at some point of time or the other in our own lives.

Interesting reading for children.
