VANDANIYA Tai Apte Mahila Vikas Pratishthan, Talegaon under Pune district of Maharashtra celebrated the birth centenary of second Pramukh Sanchalika of Rashtra Sevika Samiti Tai Apte in a novel way. The Pratishthan organised one programme every month from March 2009 to March 2010, which consisted of lectures on topics like health after 40 years, use of household traditional medicinal plants, importance of eye donation after death, introduction to Vedas, personality development, health through yoga, recital of Samved and so on. In the concluding week from March 9 to 16, a blood donation camp, exhibition cum sale of the products made by women and lectures on important issues were organised. Pramukh Sanchalika of the Samit Pramilatai Medhe blessed the occasion and appreciated the initiatives taken by the workers in different way.
