A group of artists from north eastern states under the banner of Sanskar Bharati visited different parts of the country from January 23 to February 10 to spread the message of Akhand Bharat. They spread this message through different cultural shows. Their first show was dedicated to Vijaynagar empire, which completed 500 years this year. The Karnataka Government is celebrating it on larger scale. The government organised a function in Humpi from January 27 to 29 to celebrate the occasion, which was attended by leading film personality Hema Malini, noted dancer Sonal Mansingh, renowned singer Pt Jasraj and many other leading artists.
The group of artists from north-east presented their shows on January 28 at a function in Hampi. After this function, the group visited Ranchi on January 31 and touched the heart of the people through their performance at Nirmala College Hall. Chief Minister of Jharkhand Shibu Soren, Deputy Chief Minister Raghuvar Das, RSS Kshetra Pracharak Shri Swant Ranjan and many other distinguished personalities were present on the occasion. Shri Shibu Soren was too much impressed with the performance of these artists that he immediately accepted the demand of Sanskar Bharati to set up a Kala Parisar in Ranchi. He even discussed the matter in cabinet the very next day.
The artists also presented shows in Bokaro on February 1, Dhanbad on February 3, Bodh Gaya on February 5, Muzaffarpur on February 6, Senvaria village of Betia on February 7 and Patna on February 9. Rupashri of Manipur played the character of Shri Krishna extremely well and received applause from the audience. Explaining the objective of the tour she said their group wishes to bring the north eastern states and the rest of the country closer.
