NATIONAL Executive Meeting of Akhil Bharatiya Grahak Panchayat was organised in Bhopal on January 24. Prominent leaders who participated in the meeting included Dr Charanjit Singh Kalara, Shri Dilip Babhuta, Shri Arun Deshpande, Shri Dinkar Sabnis, Shri Santosh Godbole, Shri Somnath Khedkar, Shri Bhaiya Saheb Chale, Shri Sudhakarrao Jakate, Shri Ravi Kanchan and Shri P Krishnamurti.

The meeting began with lighting of the lamp by national president Shri Rajabahu Pophali. He said the price rise has broken the backbone of the countrymen and the Grahak Panchayat has to work for changing the atmosphere by educating the common man. National Treasure Shri Chanranjit Singh Kalara presented the account of the previous year. Discussion was also held on the membership drive conducted last year and planning was made for the next year’s drive. Detailed discussion was held on the proposed petition to Parliament which will be conducted all over the country in coming days. A draft has been prepared for the petition and a time-bound programme has also been finalised. The National Executive Committee of the Parishad will meet in Bhopal from April 2 to 4. (FOC)
