Hundreds of senior saints staged a demonstration in Delhi on November 26 in order to register their protest against the humiliation of saints, army officers and the conspiracy to frame innocent Hindus in Malegaon blast case. The procession began from Hanuman Mandir in Connaught Place under the banner of Dharma Raksha Manch and culminated at Jantar Mantar. Besides the senior saints and the senior VHP leaders also participated in the procession.

Addressing the agitators, VHP general secretary Dr Pravin Togadia said the Hindus would not tolerate the way the saints, army officers and innocent Hindus are being tortured and falsely framed by the Maharashtra Government, Central Government and the ATS. He termed it a conspiracy to divert the attention of the country from the jehadi terrorist attacks. He demanded Narco test of the ATS officers so that the names of the politicians involved in this conspiracy could be exposed.

Swami Hansdas, co-convener of Dharma Raksha Manch said the saints would start a countrywide agitation against the inhuman torture of Sadhvi Pragya. He said the saints met in Delhi and have unanimously decided not to tolerate the insult of the saints and they would go to any extent to register the protest. Convener of the Manch Swami Gyan Das, Shankaracharya Madhvashram, Swami Ramswarup Das, Mahant Surya Prakash, Swami Chidanand Maharaj, Swami Rameshwar Das, Sant Charandas, Mahant Gyandin, Swami Abhichal Das, Swami Devanand, Mahant Naval Kishor Das and Mahant Surendranath Avadhut also spoke on the occasion.

Besides the main demonstration at Jantar Mantar, the saints organised padyatras at over one dozen places of Delhi. The yatras began at 3 pm. The saints were accorded warm welcome at different places by people.
