First annual conference of Sainya Matrishakti, the women wing of Poorva Sainik Sewa Parishad, was held in New Delhi on September 16. A large number of women belonging to the families of defence personnel participated in the function. Speaking at the conference noted Kathavachak Shri Vijay Kaushal Maharaj stressed the need to bring internal change and not the outer change. ?Personality and not the face, should change,? he added. Smt. Mridula Sinha, former chairperson of Central Social Welfare Board said despite the fact that man and women are complimentary, the role of a woman is more important. Shri Lt. Gen. (retd.) M.K. Seth, former Governor of Chhattisghar, said the special role of the women could not be ruled out in the society. Convener of Sainya Matrishakti, Wing Commander (retd.) Krishan Nagpal, spoke about the activities of the organisation.
