A weeklong training camp of Durga Vahini was held in Delhi from May 25 to June 1. The objective of the camp was to instill the feeling of self-confidence among women. Sushri Shreya Gupta was Mukhya Shikshika of the Varga and Smt. Kaushalya Devi was Vargadhikari. A total of 90 activists underwent training at the camp. Inaugurating the camp Shri Omkar Bhave, joint secretary general of VHP, appealed to save the culture from pollution. Sushri Mala Rawal, national convener of Durga Vahini, highlighted the activities of the organisation. Shri Omprakash Singhal, president of Indraprastha Vishwa Hindu Parishad, said women should not follow the West in the name of modernisation. Mahant Naval Kishore Maharaj reminded the activists of their duties to the society and the nation. The concluding ceremony was held on June 1. Shri Swarn Kumar Chaudhary presided over the ceremony. Shri Radha Krishan Manodi, general secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Sanskriti Parishad, appealed to the activists to work among the underdeveloped bastis. (FOC)
