Personality development camp for Vanvasi students in Ranchi

AKHIL Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad organised the fourth six-day-long personality development camp for Vanvasi students at DAV Nandraj Public School, Ranchi. Inaugurating the camp on May 26, Shri Arjun Munda, former Chief Minister of Jharkhand said today'sstudents lack self-confidence, which ruins all qualities. He called upon the students to utilise their strength, talent and time for the country and the society. Shri Vinod Ekka, incharge of Vanvasi students, expressed concern over the declining standard of education. Prof. Sudama Chaube of St. Xavier College provided important tips to the students about the personality development on May 26. Shri Devvrata of Vishwa Samvad Kendra presented glorious history of the country before the students on May 27. Shri Balbir Dutt, editor of Ranchi Express, informed about the use of Right to Information. Shri M.S. Bhatia, SSP of Ranchi, while interacting with the students said that they should go to the police without any fear and lodge their complaints.

Shri Pankal Sinha spoke about the leadership development on May 28. Dr Divakar Minj of Ranchi University spoke about the Vanvasi culture. Shri B.N. Singh of Doordarshan highlighted the importance of dialogue on May 29. Shri Shrishdev Pujari, Jharkhand Prant Pracharak, highlighted the challenges before the nation. He also spoke about Naxalism, terrorism and Bangladeshi infiltration.

Speaking at the concluding ceremony, Swami Shashanka-nand Maharaj, secretary of Ramkrishan Mission Ashram, said education is fast turning negative which makes the students selfish. He said the true education makes one self-reliant. Shri Gurvinder Singh Sethi of Minority Commission also spoke on the occasion. Noted neuro-surgeon Dr H.P. Narayan appealed to the students to develop self-confidence among them.
