Former Akhil Bharatiya Baudhik Pramukh of RSS Shri Ranga Hari has said that collective force of lawyers should be aimed at national reconstruction rather than petty political gains. He was addressing a gathering of lawyers assembled at a two-day camp organised by Bharateeya Abhibhashaka Parishad in Kochi. Over 60 lawyers from 11 revenue districts of Kerala attended the camp. Adv. M.K. Sumod, member of Bar Council of Kerala, presided over the session.

Earlier inaugurating the camp on April 5, Justice (retd.) Parvat Rao, national president of Akhil Bharatiya Adhivakta Parishad, called upon the advocates to take up the peculiar issues concerning the people of Kerala and establish Law Centres at as many places as possible. Adv. M. Udaysankar, state president of the Parishad, presided over the inaugural session. Former working president of BMS Shri R. Venugopal opined that Indian thoughts always stressed the importance of harmony and rejected ideologies of conflict and violence.

Shri Suryakrishan, national organising secretary of Adhivakta Parishad, emphasised the need of strengthening the organisation and go to the masses with a mind of service. Shri Bharat Kumar, national secretary of the Parishad, spoke about the strength and reach of the Parishad at national level. The valedictory session was addressed by Kerala Prant Pracharak Shri A. Gopalakrishanan who called upon the delegates to spend more time on constructive social work, as the lawyer community has a special place and duty in Indian life. Adv. Ratnakaran made a presentation on the RTI Act. Adv. Govindh K. Bharathan took a class on temple laws in Kerala and explained the development of that branch of law through judicial pronouncements.
