“The anti-Hindutva forces are today encouraging casteism, minorityism, terrorism and separatism for their vested interests. At such a time the views of Shivaji will give a new direction to the country,? said RSS Sarkaryavah Shri Mohan Bhagwat. He was speaking at the concluding ceremony of Sangh Shiksha Varga and also the function to celebrate Hindu Samrajya Diwas in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Dr Arun Kumar Singh, noted surgeon of the region, presided over the function.

Shri Bhagwat said the Hindu padpadshahi of Shivaji is relevant even today and that is why the Sangh has accepted it as Hindu Samrajya Diwas. He said though the regime of Shivaji was very small, his thinking was national. The empire Shivaji created under his regime, should be created again in the country.

Shri Bhagwat said the government policies are instilling a sense of separatism in the followers of different ways of worship. ?The Muslims and Christians of this country have not come from outside. They are the progeny of Rama and Krishna. They have forgotten their past. We have to awake them,? he said. Talking about the recent move of reservation, he said the politicians are working for their vested interests in the name of reservation. ?We are not against reservation. But it should not be on the basis of caste. It should be on the basis of social and economic backwardness and this issue should be addressed not by politicians but scholars and intellectuals of the society.

Shri Bhagwat termed infiltration as a major threat to the internal security of the country. ?Even after directions from the Supreme Court, the infiltrators are not being ousted from the country. The policy of creating more problems is being followed in the country. Atrocities are being perpetrated on the Hindu society. False allegations are being levelled against the Hindu dharmacharyas. The Prime Minister goes to Kashmir to solve the problem of Kashmir but he does not have time to go to the camps of Kashmiri migrants and listen to their plight,? he added.

Dr Arun Kumar Singh said the discipline and training of hard work imparted in the Varga would help in national reconstruction. ?It would give a new direction to the nation. The RSS will be a dire need in coming days,? he said. Prof. Jaiprakash Lal, Sarvadhikari of the Varga, pointed out that a total of 491 shiksharthis belonging to 11 districts of eastern Uttar Pradesh participated in the twenty-day Varga.
