Shri Guruji Poorvanchal Hostel in Gujarat
Working president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Shri Ashok Singhal recently inaugurated Shri Guruji Poorvanchal Hostel at Samiyala village, near Padara in Gujarat. There are 20 students in the hostel, who are studying in different schools of Vadodara and Padra in Hindi, English and Gujarati medium. The students hail from Reang janjati of Mizoram and have been brought in by the Uttar Poorvanchal Janjati Samiti from the refugee camps of Tripura, where more than 40,000 Reang Vanvasis are languishing after having been forced to leave Mizoram by Church-backed terrorist outfits. About 20 more students are expected to join the hostel very soon. A VHP activist of Gujarat has donated land for the hostel, which is run by Samutkarsh Foundation Trust. The students studying in the hostel are expected to serve their community and the Hindu society after returning to their homes. A similar hostel is being run at Banswara in Rajasthan where 35 students from Assam are staying. This hostel is run by Bharatiya Jansewa Sansthan.
