Vyaasaraayamat Aanathaachar Gopala, Dakshin Karnataka Prant Prachar Pramukh, passed away in Bangalore on January 1, 2005 following cardiac arrest. He was 57. He is survived by two brothers and four sisters. Gopala, was working for DSRC, a software company, as its manager. As per his wishes, his eyes were donated to the eye bank immediately after his death. He was also publisher of the well-known Kannada weekly, Vikrama. He wrote thousands of letters to editors of different newspapers. He used to write almost one letter daily. He was instrumental in starting observation of Deendayal Upadhayaya’s death anniversary in Bangalore since the last 27 years and also the birthday of Dr B.R Ambedkar since the last five years.
