Sewa Bharati training camp in Chandigarh
Sning camp of Sewa Bharati, Punjab, was organised in Chandigarh from July 29 to August 1, in which 283 shikshikas and 43 other workers from 102 places of the state participated. The shikshikas, who received training for enhancing their talent, narrated experiences of their workplace. Ms Usha of Dhariwal said that a number of children, who collect the waste papers, were made literate under the Sewa Bharati'sproject. With the help of Jyoti of Derabasi, children, who visit the Sewa Bharati'sproject, have stopped abusing. Prant Sewa Pramukh Pravinbhai has inculcated in them samskars through small and simple games. Answering the queries of the shikshikas, Shri Premchand Goel, Akhil Bharatiya Sewa Pramukh, said that the first priority of Sewa Bharati activists should be to develop a feeling of oneness in the society. Punjab Prant Pracharak, Shri Kashmirilal called upon the workers to devote more time to service activities. Sewa Bharati activists also made a human chain in Chandigarh on July 31 to propagate the message of eradicating evils like addiction, illiteracy, etc., from the society. They also called upon the people to contribute to service activities to come forward, and also encouraged people for blood and eye donation. Addressing the Sewa Bharati activists at another function held in Delhi, Shri Premchand Goel said that everyone had the responsibility towards the nation and that could be discharged by serving the poor and neglected sections of the society. ?We should be happy that we have got an opportunity to serve people. It is the result of our good deeds. We do not have the mentality of kar seva, kha meva. We should ensure that the money we have received from the society to serve people should be spent on the society,? he said, calling upon the workers to make the illiterates literate and provide shelter to the homeless. ?It would improve social harmony in the society,? he added.
