?Women have an important role to play in the development of the country. They need to develop their mental power for achieving success in different fields,? said Ushatai Chati, Pramukh Sanchalika of Rashtra Sevika Samiti. She was speaking at the concluding function of the Samiti'seast Uttar Pradesh training camp held in Jhansi recently. She said training camps were held in all prants to impart training to activists on ideal motherhood, brotherhood, leadership and what women can do for all-round development of the country. ?It is difficult for a woman to achieve success in various fields till she makes her mental powers strong. To ensure her presence in all fields a woman should also join the defence forces, business, etc.,? she emphasised. The concluding function was presided over by the noted author Dr Chandrarekha Singh. A total of 144 women from Kanpur, Awadh, Kashi and Gorakhpur prants participated in the camp.
Speaking at another training camp in Jaipur, Rekha Raje, Uttar Kshetra Pracharika of the Samiti, said, ?It is a woman who reforms the family and develops the personality of a child. But the multinational companies have now directly attacked the Indian culture and its valuable tradition by introducing and promoting activities like modelling. TV serials are promoting an alien culture and misguiding the new generation. Women of the country have to come forward to save it from such an alien revolution. The good things that the Sevikas have learnt at the training camp should be taught to others in their respective areas,? she said.
Sushri Rekha Raje is also the Akhil Bharatiya Seva Pramukh of the Samiti, which runs over 220 service projects in different parts of the country. A total of 213 trainees from 11 districts of Jaipur prant participated in the camp. Presiding over the function, Dr Pawan Surana, chairperson, Rajasthan Commission for Women, appreciated the efforts of the Samiti in propagating the values of life and imparting discipline among women.
Speaking at the training camp in Patna, Smt. Rukmini Akka, Sarkaryavahika of the Samiti, said that owing to wrong habits and activities women had become destitute and were being kept away from social interaction. People in general and women in particular had forgotten their glorious past and were foolishly aping the West, she added.
