Buddha faces the ‘Aila’ fury after poll setback

THERE is absolutely no administration visible in the ‘Aila’ storm-hit areas of West Bengal. The Chief Minister of the state Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, when he visited Hingalgunj, one of the Aila storm-hit areas of South 24-Parganas district, he was greeted with filthiest language of abuse as the suffering people were agitated for not getting sufficient relief.

AUSTRALIA is finding it difficult to put down attacks on Indian students even a fortnight after such incidents attracted worldwide condemnation. Now there are isolated instances of racist attacks on Indians in Canada as well as racist discrimination on Indian flyers in a couple of French flights. These are isolated incidents but disturbing.
